This month we’re introducing Kari Parker. Kari is a Paramedic on B-Shift and has been serving with Greenville County EMS since 2019.

What is your greatest achievement in life so far?
My son and beating all the statistics about teen moms.
What is your #1 pet peeve?
Dirty fingernails.
What is your most memorable moment in your EMS career?
Charles Harris and I delivered a baby in the hospital triage bathroom. The patient didn’t even know she was pregnant until the baby was out.
What is your favorite movie or play?
Sweet Home Alabama or the original IT movie.
What would constitute a perfect EMS crew member?
A partner who respects quiet time in the morning and shares their snacks.
What is your best kept secret?
I’m scared of cats.
What would you consider your worst habit?
Probably watching Grey’s Anatomy too much.
Greatest inspiration in your life?
My son.
What is your favorite food item?
I love tacos, queso, and insomnia cookies.
What would be considered luxury to you?
Never having to work again.
If you could meet anyone in the history of the world, who and why?
Steve Henson because he invented ranch dressing.
What would your epitaph say?
“They’ll send her back.”
What is your favorite type of music?
R&B and anything Reba.
Where would you like to grow old?
Somewhere in the mountains.
