Persons may obtain a copy of an autopsy report at no charge from the County Medical Examiner's Office at Suite 110, Box 4,
Memorial Medical Office Building, 890 West Faris Road. A release form is required to be signed. It usually takes from 30-45
days to get a completed autopsy report because of the lab work and toxicology that is involved. For further information,

Where do I get a copy of a death certificate?
Answer:
Death certificates are filed at the Health Department in the county where the death occurred.
Certified copies may be obtained by immediate family, a legal representative or legal guardian. Contact the Health Department
for a fee schedule.
Death certificates are not released by the Coroner's office but a copy of the Coroner's report is available upon request.

Where can I get help if I don't have money for a burial?
Answer:
The County provides a burial plot and some monetary assistance for burial to persons who are determined to be indigent.

Answer:
Personal belongings that are collected by the Coroner's Office can be claimed by the next of kin or other personal representative
at the Coroner's Office, Suite 110, Box 4, Memorial Medical Office Building, 890 West Faris Road. Weapons are taken into custody
by the investigating law enforcement agency and can be released by that agency at the conclusion of their investigation.
