About Us
Litter Ends Here is a Greenville County initiative established in 2017 to combat litter and promote a cleaner environment. We understand litter harms wildlife, natural spaces, and the county's image.
A Multi-Faceted Approach
We leverage a comprehensive strategy:
- Clean Up: Our dedicated crews remove tons of litter annually using specialized trucks. We also have a user-friendly mobile app for easy litter reporting.
- Support Volunteers: Our incredible volunteers are the backbone of our program, raising awareness and inspiring others to join our mission.
- Prevention Efforts: We prioritize prevention through education. We partner with Roper Mountain Science Center to educate students. We also hold engaging campaigns like "Tarp It or Ticket."
- Enforcement: We collaborate with Greenville County Codes Enforcement and Sheriff's Office to hold litterers accountable and strengthen anti-littering legislation.
Strong Partnerships
Collaboration is key. We partner with:
- Non-Profits: We support local non-profits by promoting their clean-up events, providing essential supplies, and hauling and disposing the collected litter.
- Local Organizations: We provide resources and support for businesses, churches, and groups to organize clean-up initiatives in their neighborhoods.
- Keep Greenville County Beautiful (KGCB): As an active member of KGCB, we work alongside city representatives, SCDOT, the Sheriff's Office, and other organizations to develop and implement effective county-wide litter prevention strategies.
