Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) reviews applications at its monthly meeting for the
following request types:
- Variances from the dimensional terms of the Zoning Ordinance
- Special Exceptions for uses permitted by review in specified zoning districts
- Appeals of decisions made by the Zoning Administrator
- Interpretation of district boundaries that are unclear or indeterminate
The BZA has final decision-making authority on these matters. All applications must be submitted in person no later that noon of the application deadline.
A public hearing is required with due notice for all applications reviewed by the BZA.
The public may speak at the public hearing or send written comments to be read by the BZA
concerning specific applications on the agenda.
