UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE
FINAL DRAFT OF THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE (UDO) – UNDER REVIEW

A final review draft of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is now available. Greenville County staff is working to ensure that the draft reflects public and stakeholder feedback provided during the project’s public engagement process. Many of the County’s current development-related regulations are carried forward into the final review draft UDO without substantive changes. Where the UDO proposes changes from existing regulations, they are intended to implement the 2020 Plan Greenville County comprehensive plan, codify recommendations from a 2021 Zoning Code and Land Development Regulations Assessment, correct known problems with or inconsistencies in existing regulations, and reflect best practices in land use planning.
