Private Residential Disposal
Greenville County provides Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities and the Twin Chimneys Landfill for
disposal of most of your waste. Residential Waste and Recycling Facilities will not accept quantities greater
than three cubic yards per person, per day. Shingles must be disposed of at the Twin Chimneys Landfill.

Commercial Disposal
All commercial haulers disposing at a Greenville County facility must use the Twin
Chimneys Landfill.

Banned Materials Disposal
S.C. Solid Waste Policy & Management Act of 1991 bans electronic waste, motor oil, yard waste,
car batteries, white goods (appliances) and tires from the landfill. They are collected separately
at Twin Chimneys and the Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities and recycled. Residential
Waste and Recycling Facilities will not accept quantities greater than three cubic yards
per day.
Hazardous Waste Disposal
We do not accept hazardous waste and/or liquid waste at the Residential Waste & Recycling
Facilities. The S.C. Solid Waste Policy & Management Act of 1991 bans some hazardous materials
