Solid Waste Division

The Greenville County Solid Waste Division is committed to providing Solid Waste collection, disposal and education services to the citizens of Greenville County. As part of our Solid Waste Management Plan we encourage recycling of wastes through educational programs and by providing recycling drop-off sites throughout the county.



Important Notice:

Due to needed repair work the Blackberry Valley Residential Waste and Recycling Center located at 409 Blackberry Valley Rd. Greenville, 29617 will not accept construction debris and yard waste from October 21, 2025 through November 01, 2025.

Want to know more about how you and your family can reduce waste and contribute to sustainability efforts?

Greenville County's new Food Waste Drop-Off program helps divert organic waste from landfills, reducing methane emissions.

You can collect food scraps like fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and eggshells, then bring them to designated drop-off sites to be collected. After food scraps are dropped off, they are collected and taken to a composting facility.
