Three commissioners are elected to four year terms; two are appointed by the state.

All Conservation District Commissioners Serve as Unpaid Volunteers.

On the second Tuesday of every month the Board of Commissioners convene with the staff in a meeting that is open to the public. The staff gives reports and takes directions from the board on ways to achieve the goals of the annual plan of work. The meetings are held at County Square at 9:30am in Suite S-4100 or a designated Conference Room in County Square, 301 University Ridge, Greenville.
