The Code Compliance Division is dedicated to the enforcement of Building Safety, the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance,
Property Maintenance Regulations, the Greenville County Zoning Ordinance and other related regulations to safeguard the
public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens and businesses and to provide competent, consistent, courteous and
timely services.
How We Serve Greenville County
The Code Compliance Division provides services to the County through the
following variety of services:
- Building Safety and Permits - this division enforces the building codes and provides inspection services.
- Code Enforcement - this division's objective is to promote a clean, healthy, and safe environment for the citizens of Greenville County.
- Floodplain Management - this division is responsible for the operation of community programs of preventive and corrective measures to
reduce the risk of current and future flooding, resulting in a more resilient community.
