The Greenville County Department of Public Safety - Records Management Services Division
is a centralized records management operation for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) and the
Greenville City Police Department (GPD). The Division also manages the processing and release of records
from the Greenville County Detention Center, to include inmate medical records.
When requesting a FOIA, please be advised that applicable fees will apply. Depending on the scope
of the search, fees may have to be paid in advance before any information or records can be released.
The Public Safety – Records Division is not over the management of other County Departments (Procurement,
Register of Deeds, Permits, etc.). You can submit your request via the
Greenville County Attorney.
