All Other Exemptions
South Carolina state law sets forth the requirements for qualifying for a property tax exemption (real or personal property). All of these exemptions must be
applied for through the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR).
The Greenville County Auditor’s Office can adjust property tax bill
adjustments only after the exemption has been processed and approved by the
SCDOR.
Exemptions issued by SCDOR
The SCDOR Exempt Property Code Section 12-37-220 determines if any property (real or personal) qualifies for exemption from local property taxes in accordance
with the Constitution and general laws of South Carolina.
