Garey Collins DISTRICT 27

Garey, a resident of Simpsonville, has dedicated his life to service and community. Born in Indiana as one of 13 siblings, Garey overcame significant adversity, including foster care and orphanages, to achieve success in the U.S. Air Force and Army National Guard. His 20 year military career spanned over 120 countries, with roles in aircraft maintenance, recruiting, and leadership.

Since settling in Greenville in 2006 with his wife Katie and their three children, Garey has immersed himself in community service after retiring from the military. He serves on the SC Foster Care Review Board, works as a substitute teacher, is an on-call bus driver, mentors special needs students, officiates sports and volunteers with local organizations. With a BS in Human Resource Management, an MBA, and over 25 years of experience in HR and finance, Garey brings a unique blend of resilience, leadership, and dedication to his candidacy.
