Frank Farmer was elected in November of 2024 to represent District 22, which represents Greenville, Greer, and a small portion of Taylors. He is a member of 1st Presbyterian, a fifth generation Greenvillian, a graduate of Greenville High School and The Citadel, and a US Army Veteran that served in the 82nd Airborne Division. Frank deeply cares for his hometown and believes in listening to all the County’s citizens regardless of if they live in his district or not.
Frank may be the youngest on Council but has had a plethora of leadership experience. From his time at The Citadel he held rank sophomore through senior year. Upon graduating college Frank earned the position of Finance Director of a Congressional Campaign. While Frank was in the US Army, he was promoted every year he served. Frank was honorably discharged in November 2023 with his final position in the company being an Infantry Squad Leader as well as the company’s Unit Movement Officer. He was not only in charge of leading a Squad but also responsible for the logistical actions of his entire company’s equipment which totaled in value of tens of millions of dollars. Through all of this experience Frank has learned that the most important quality of leadership is unwavering dedication and a servant’s heart.
Frank is the Chairman of the Communication and Government Affairs Committee and serves on the Finance, Public Safety and Human Services, Roads, Infrastructure, and Public Works Committees. Currently Frank works for United Catalyst Corporation which is a critical mineral recycling firm in Fountain Inn. Frank lives in the North Main Street area of Downtown Greenville with his dog Koda AKA "Shug." When he manages to find downtime he enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, live concerts, and earning a sweat in the gym.
